Every bottle of Edinburgh Gin is produced at their West End, and Leith Distilleries. Today we’ll be looking at their London Dry.
Launched in 2010, this is a classic London Dry gin with a modern twist, bottled at 43% ABV. To pay tribute to their Scottish heritage they have included native plants and botanicals such as lavender, pine buds, mulberries and cobnuts, as well as orange peel, lemongrass and lime peel.
SilverFox Tasting Notes
A merry dance through the fresh heather combined with smooth citrus and vanilla warmth, like sweet spring air. Edinburgh Gin tasting Notes Nose: Clean and fresh with spiced notes Palate: Rounded juniper, pine, floral lavender, with hints of soft spice and aromatic citrus Finish: Bright citrus giving away to a round, smooth finish Average Price: £29.53 Fox's Rating: 9/10
Edinburgh London Dry gin is clean, zesty, juniper lead gin which balances softness with bright citrus. It makes a cool G&T, the recommended serve being a zesty orange twist. Its flavour lends itself perfectly to classic cocktails such as Martinis and Gimlets. Winning both a gold and silver at the International Wine & Spirits Competition it is well worth a buy. I look forward to trying some of their other gins in the very near future.
