The crops used for the spirits are grown only a few miles away from the distillery. All pf the processes from preparing the wash, fermenting, distilling, rectifying and finally bottling take place on site. Even the water used in the production process rises from an aquifer situated beneath the distillery. Platinum has a very low juniper additive giving it a light taste. Other botanicals used are habanero, mango, pineapple additions, bay and marshmallow leaves with Manila wood to finish it off at the end. Fox’s Tasting Notes
Light are airy like a crisp winter morning. Subtle sweetness is followed by a mild earthy finish. Being not overly juniper heavy this would appeal to first time gin drinkers. Platinum Tasting Notes Nose: Juniper light and fresh Palette: Fruity sweetness with mild chilli Finish: Earth Manila Wood lingers at the end Price: £39.50 Fox's Rating: 7/10 www.platinumgin.co.uk/ The SilverFox
